Hang Gliding Course -
€580.00
- Experience an engine-free flight
- Fly independently from day 1!
- At the end of the course, you’ll be a qualified glider pilot
The course consists of various practical phases. Firstly, you'll get to grips with your hang glider on a flat piece of land, with your instructor showing you what to do. Following this, you'll be practicing lifts off a slope, reaching heights of up to 20m. This is so you get used to flying as next you'll be reaching heights of up to 100m where you will learn how to do turns and read the calculations from a variometre (a vertical speed indicator). Finally, in the last phase of your training, you'll practice doing independent flights of up to 250m, at a speed of approximately 30km/h, as your instructor guides from the ground with a PTT (push to talk) radio.
Experience Content
After an equipment and safety briefing, the instructor will explain the course structure, and your goals for completing the qualification. The school and its instructors are recognized by the Spanish Aeronautical Association, so you can rest assured that you’ll be receiving the best and most professional instruction first hand. If you’re still hungry for more, once you’ve finished this course, you can go on to do the Advanced Glider Pilot course.
